Since the end of October 2014 the CHP systems at the WWTP’s Hengelo and Enschede are back in operation. Both new Senergie 500 CHP’s with over 8000 running hours have recently been modified to provide the latest national developments on biogas safety. The Dutch Waterboard Vechtstromen is the first Waterboard to comply with the  latest recommendations for national biogas safety following the explosion on the WWTP Raalte in 2012.
